85+ Years of Protecting What Matters
VICTORY was founded in 1928 as the Federal Storage Company of Washington, DC, and renamed in 1945 to commemorate the U.S. victory in World War II — and, just as deliberately, the victory of fairness, integrity, and always doing the right thing. More than 85 years later, that name is still a promise, and those values still define how we work.
American values and 85+ years of award-winning experience
VICTORY was founded in 1928 as the Federal Storage Company of Washington, DC, and renamed in 1945 to commemorate the U.S. victory in World War II — and, just as deliberately, the victory of fairness, integrity, and always doing the right thing. More than 85 years later, that name is still a promise, and those values still define how we work.
Today VICTORY is Allied Van Lines’ largest Mid-Atlantic agent, operating 500,000+ sq ft of secure warehouse space, a fleet of 122 trucks, and two markets: Sterling, VA, our headquarters, and Deerfield Beach, FL. From the Pentagon and the Department of Defense to the Washington Commanders, Marriott, and National Geographic, the organizations that cannot afford a failed move have trusted VICTORY for generations — and so have tens of thousands of families across the region.
We have grown from a single Washington storage company into a full moving, storage, 3PL, and distribution operation. What has not changed is the standard: protect what matters, on every job, for every customer.
Employee-Owned and Customer-Driven
VICTORY is an employee-owned corporation. Our permanent employees become partial owners of the company — and that single fact changes everything about the experience customers have with us. When the person planning your move, packing your kitchen, or driving your truck is an owner, the standard is simply higher. Their name, their reputation, and their livelihood ride on every job.
It is also why our people stay. Lower turnover means more experienced crews, deeper institutional knowledge, and coordinators who have handled thousands of moves like yours. Ownership is not a marketing line here; it is the structure that makes reliability possible.

Doing Right by Our Community and the Environment
For nine decades VICTORY has reinvested in the DC/MD/VA community that built us — serving on boards and supporting nonprofits including the Red Cross, United Way, and Carpenters Shelter. Giving back is part of the same value system as doing the job right.
We are also a recipient of the International FIDI Environmental Award, recognizing our commitment to sustainability: we actively recycle and reuse packing materials, optimize routes to cut emissions, and maintain our fleet for efficiency. Doing the right thing includes doing right by the places we move through.
